Drinks and Ink at Lobstahpalooza

This summer has been pretty fantastic.

There’s been no shortage of days when we’ve wanted to pack up, hit the beach, order our fill of ocean-fresh catch and kick back with a couple of cold drinks until the sun goes down. Sadly, there’s only so many days of summer left and no ocean nearby.

Good news: we found the next best thing.

Prepare to soak in the sunbeams this Sunday at Lobstahpalooza, an urban take on a classic East Coast party. We teased you with highlights here last week. For those with short memories (like ours), this is your chance to feast on market fresh lobster, corn on the cob and the requisite potato salad (a tradition of sorts out East). All enjoyed on one of Toronto’s most secluded downtown patios.

Bring a date, or at least a few good friends.

What we didn’t tell you was that in the tradition of any raucous summer party, the fine folks at Sailor Jerry Rum will dock their vintage Airstream and serve some frosty concoctions and complimentary tattoos (true story… more on that in a minute).

The Sailor Jerry vintage Airstream will also front as a pop-up tattoo parlour featuring Mason James from Imperial Tattoo on the needle. After you get your tat (a lottery system will be in place to avoid long lines), rock out with the bands and quaff back that cocktail.

Let’s recap, shall we? Lobster + live music + ice-cold cocktails + tattoos = $50 well spent. Tickets available here.

If that’s not enough, there’ll be space for emergency lobster roll service. You’ll get your fill.
