The quickest way from point A to point B is a straight line, right? Well, oil pipes don’t get to work that way. One the one hand, they need to avoid things like watersheds and farms for the sake of the environment and health, but on the other hand, the longer they get, the more expensive they are to maintain.
Enter Pipe Trouble, the new game from Pop Sandbox. It was developed in conjunction with the film Trouble in the Peace, about pipe bombings in Northern BC. The game, which you can try for free here (it’s actually pretty fun), is all about the delicate balancing act between people and profits. It’s available on the iPad and Android for $1.99.
Pop Sandbox has also built old arcade-style cabinets for the game, which are touring universities, galleries, and tourist spots. If you like them on Facebook, you can win one of your own.
