The nice thing about the South by Southwest festival (in Austin, from the 12 to the 17) is that you can still listen to all the music even if you don’t spend March in Texas. They provide songs from all their performing artists, DRM-free, on their website. This year there’s 7.39GB total.
SXSW has done this since 2005, and until 2008 they even created torrents of all these files, but since them the task has gone to regular internet citizens. This site has not only this year’s torrents, but all the torrents created since 2005, which will give you 45GB of free music. Thanks, SXSW!
