Bang & Olufsen aren’t messing around. Their new Beolab 14 surround sound speakers start at $3,995, and if you need an independent middle speaker, the price jumps to $4,395.
Thankfully, you get a lot of bang for that buck. The subwoofer, which looks more like a modern art sculpture than a speaker, has 280 watts of power for an 8” downward facing driver, allowing you to hear some of the lowest frequencies possible. It’s flanked by four or five satellite speakers, each with separate amplifiers and equalizers. They come on stands, but can be mounted. Their mesh also comes in more colours, in case you need to spend more money.
