It’s the week of sophomore efforts from popular musical acts. Earlier, we had Psy release “Gentleman” of which DailyXY’s own Russell Smith did a close reading in the Globe and Mail. Now, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are trying to follow up massive hit “Thrift Shop”. The single? “Can’t Hold Us”.
Is it good? Yeah, it’s better than 90% of the videos on YouTube (because, let’s be honest, rotation on Much or MTV means nothing anymore). But is it better than “Thrift Shop”?
