Airbnb’s having some growing pains, in part thanks to New York City’s strict rental laws. To comply with local regulations, Airbnb users in NYC must be present (i.e. living in the same unit) during the time it’s occupied by a traveller. This is not the case for over half of the 10,000+ listings at the burgeoning lodging site.
So, get ’em while they’re hot. And by hot, we mean contrary to state law.
