Finally, a flying car!
Well, actually, a bunch of different flying cars have been produced, the first coming in 1934. That design wasn’t bad at all, but it ran into the same problem that all flying cars run into: it’s a terrible, terrible idea to let a species that has enough accidents on the ground loose in the air.
The Terrafugia TF-X Flying Car hopes to change all that. Though it’s still in development and has no price tag as of yet, Terrafugia promises that their flying car will be safer than a regular car, have parachutes, can fit four people, can be mastered in a mere five hours, and can manage a 500 mile flight. That’s a pretty tall order, especially considering it resembles the V-22 Osprey, one of the most dangerous aircraft out there.
