Aston Martin DBS V12 vs. Vauxhall Corsa

It took Javier Bardem, a cadre of mercenaries, and a heap of explosives to take out James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 in Skyfall, but it turns out that all you need is a bright pink Vauxhall Corsa. A UK driver filling up at a gas station had to jump out of the way when said Corsa careened into his Aston Martin DBS V12. The only injuries are to the man’s pride.

In fairness, Bond’s car had a bunch of cool upgrades. On the other hand, the Vauxhall Corsa cost £500 (about $770 CAN), whereas an Aston Martin DBS V12, which is no longer manufactured, is £180,000 (about $278,000 CAN).

The driver of the Aston Martin, who asked to remain anonymous, had been filling up when the Vauxhall Corsa drove out of the gas station, into a round about, lost control of her car, and somehow jumped the curb back into the gas station. The Aston Martin is so damaged that it’ll be written off, says the owner.

The Vauxhall driver, Natasha Gregory, has said, in characteristic UK eloquence, “Ummmm it was me and it was an accident. y the hell would I wonna go into aston martin!! I’m glad everyones fine, and I have u know I clipped a curb (I’m sure everyone has) and the steering went. Shit happens glad no one was hurt. I don’t really care what’s said, I feel like a total dickhead and am gutted and so sorry to the other driver, was not his fault at all. The only person I give a shit bout is the other driver, bless him.”
