If yes, then check out Tank on Empty. Basically, people post their car model and how far they were able to go after the gas light comes on, then the site updates their average for that model.
Take the Ford Focus, for instance. With 179 data points, they report that it can go an average of 39.95 miles before calling a tow truck becomes a serious possibility.
Obviously, this is just a ballpark average, but that’s what we’d appreciate the next time we’re gunning it down the highway, trying to make it home before the puck drops.
