Drake Launches Pick 6IX Restaurant In Toronto

New restaurant Pick 6IX launched earlier this week with Drake and OVO Chubbs hosting a friends and family event at the establishment. Also in attendance on Jan. 10: chef Antonio Park (a judge on Chopped Canada), Ryan Silverstein, artist Andrea Bolley, DJ Charlie B and more. On Tuesday, NBA star Lebron James hosted Dwyane Wade’s birthday at the restaurant.

Spirits company The House of Rémy Martin supplied the cocktails, including the Six Spice Fashion and Passion Punch, both of which are made with Rémy Martin VSOP (“Very Superior Old Pale” cognac). The drinks, as well as the classic Sazerac, will be available for patrons.

Restaurant co-founder Nessell “Chubbs” Beezer said of the space in a press release: “We saw an opportunity in the Toronto restaurant scene for a much-needed, bold, high energy atmosphere. We are proud to have delivered this in Pick 6IX.”

The establishment is described as having an “upscale yet casual vibe” with a champagne wall and flat-screen TVs. It has a black and gold colour scheme with marble countertops, a gold-lined bar, and luxurious bright blue chairs and banquettes. It will cater to celebrities and other high-end clientele by providing a private entrance and a secluded VIP dining room.

Pick 6ix is located on Yonge Street near Union Station, the financial district and the Air Canada Centre. The restaurant is planning for a grand opening, but a date has yet to be set. The name of the restaurant refers to an interception in football returned for a touchdown.

Drake has another restaurant, Fring’s, which he opened in 2015 with chef Susur Lee. It’s located on King St. W.
