The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition

We all knew that this day was coming. Now that Christopher Nolan’s landmark trilogy is finished, it’s time to commemorate it with a big honking collectable. The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition is a six-disk Blu-ray set that includes all three films, two new featurettes, and memorabilia.

The featurettes are “The Fire Rises”, which discusses the creation of the Dark Knight trilogy and how it changed filmmaking. The second featurette is a conversation between director Chrisopher Nolan and famed (and screwed over) Superman director Richard Donner. IMAX sequences are also included.

The memorabilia includes art cards for Scarecrow, Joker, Bane, Harvey Dent, and Ra’s al Ghul, a 48-page hardcover book featuring production stills, and some Hot Wheels creations of the Tumbler, the Batpod, and the Bat.

The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition will hit stores on September 24, and retail for $100. Sadly, it will not feature a reshot, non-mediocre third film.
