1920s Vintage German Lightbulb Voltage Tester Bar

Amazingly, this was a real light bulb testing machine (or is based on one, anyway) that was used in the 1920s, not the fevered dream of some steampunk enthusiast. Now it’s been repurposed as a bar, ($1,995) which is our favourite purpose for repurposing.

It’s crafted from iron and opens on a hinge, revealing three liquor shelves, slots for wine bottles, and hanging racks for glassware. It sits on a tripod base, and when closed, makes you look like a mad scientist, which we’re fine with.
