When the clock strikes 12 at the end of the fastest moving decade in history, there’ll be no shortage of places to party in Calgary. Here, some of the best bets.

Get Lucky
If you’re looking to rock in the new year with some steamy local talent, the Sharp Ends, the Dirty Dirty North and Puberty will be taking Broken City by storm, complete with free cans of Lucky at midnight. Broken City, 613 11th Ave SW, $10.

The Comeback
After a year of renovations, the Republik is back, filling its three rooms with a raucous mix of rock bands, DJs and serious New Year’s partiers. Republik, 219 17th Ave. SW, $10.

A Sporting New Year
Spend New Year’s Eve with the people who are most important to you: The Flames. Feast on prime rib at the Melrose Bar as the Red Cs take on the Oilers. Prizes and giveaways will be given throughout the game, as well as classic New Year’s party favours. Melrose, 730 17th Ave. SW, $21.

Go Go Belgo
Belgo’s New Year bash features two rooms of music and six DJs. Shake your booty to a mix of house, funk and hip-hop beats. Tickets include swag and tasty munchies all night. Belgo, 501 8th Ave. SW, $80.

Low, Low Key
Calgary’s new kid on the block, Radiopark, will be keeping it cool with a five dollar, no frills party. With a trio of DJs and bubbly when the ball drops, Radiopark is the place to party if you’re looking for fun but no fuss. Radiopark, 8989 MacLeod Tr. S., $5.
