Mixologist: Maple Barbecue Canadian Caesar

Odd that Canada’s cocktail is a summer drink, but whatever. The guys over at Mott’s created this new version of the Caesar in celebration of Canada Day, because nothing says Canada day day like Canadian whisky and something maple flavoured. Also, bacon.

For our whisky, we used Pike Creek, because it’s delicious. You should too.


1 oz. Canadian whisky
1 dash maple flavoured barbecue sauce
2 dashes hot sauce
3 dashes Worcestershire
Fresh cracked salt and pepper
4 oz. Clamato
Bacon knot
Lime wedge


Rim a highball glass with the cracked salt and pepper, then fill with ice. Add the whisky, barbecue sauce, hot sauce, and Worcestershire. Stir. Garnish with the bacon knot skewered on to the lime wedge.
