Mixologist: A Town Called Tequila

For the record: there really is a town called Tequila. It’s where tequila was invented. If you’d like to visit, you can find Tequila in the state of Jalisco, about sixty kilometres from Guadalajara. Oh, and the whole town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because tequila (the beverage) is just that popular.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. Maestro Dobel tequila
1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
3 slices cucumber
1 egg white

Directions

Pour lemon juice, simple syrup, two cucumber slices, and egg white into shaker. Muddle and then shake without ice. Open shaker, fill with ice, and shake again. Add tequila. Fine strain into a tall coupe. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
