Mixologist: Academy Award Cocktails

Ready to toast the award winners, or the fact that Seth McFarlane isn’t hosting? Good, us too. That’s why Grey Goose invented these cocktails inspired by nominated films. The Cosmonaut is evocative of Gravity, Lower East Side hearkens to Inside Llewyn Davis and American Hustle, and the Le Fizz is all about winning. You don’t have to make them with Grey Goose, but if you’re going to bust out the ginger liqueur, why wouldn’t you spring for the top shelf?

The Cosmonaut

Ingredients
2 oz. pear vodka
1 oz. fresh lime juice
.75 oz. ginger liqueur
1 dash cardamom bitters

Directions
Build over a large ice sphere (you can easily make one using this) in a spherical rocks glass.

Lower East Side

Ingredients
1 oz. vodka l’orange
2 oz. freshly squeezed blood orange juice
1 bar spoonful of orange flavoured cognac liqueur
1 drizzle of aged balsamic
Slice of blood orange

Directions
Built the vodka and blood orange juice, then float the liqueur on top. Garnish with a slice of blood orange and a drizzle of aged balsamic.

Grey Goose Le Fizz

Ingredients
1.5 oz. vodka
1 oz. elderflower liqueur
1 oz. fresh lime juice
2 oz. chilled soda
