Mixologist: Crabbie’s Cocktails

Here’s some fun news: Crabbie’s, the alcoholic ginger beer from the UK, is about to be joined on the shelves by an orange version. The ginger hasn’t gone from new Crabbie’s Orange; rather, the spice of the ginger is supplemented by the sweetness of the orange.

Ginger Mist

Ingredients
1 oz. gin
2 slices lime
4 springs cilantro
Crabbie’s

Directions
Put lime and cilantro in a shaker and muddle. Add gin and ice. Shake. Strain into a martini glass, and then top with Crabbie’s. Garnish with lime and cilantro.

Horses Neck

Ingredients
1.5 oz. brandy
5 oz. Crabbie’s
Lemon twist

Directions
Combine ingredients over ice in a tumbler. Garnish with lemon.

Moscow Mule

Ingredients
Half a lime
2 oz. vodka
6 oz. Crabbie’s

Directions
Squeeze lime into a Collins glass. Add ice cubes, vodka, and Crabbie’s. Stir.

Crabbie’s Cup

Ingredients
2 slices cucumber
Seasonal berries
.5 oz. sweet vermouth
.5 oz. triple sec
1 oz. gin or vodka
Crabbie’s
Mint

Directions
Muddle cucumber and berries in a pint glass. Pour in the spirits, add ices cubes and Crabbies. Garnish with mint.

Crabbie’s Shandy

Ingredients
3 oz. lemonade
2 slices cucumber
Seasonal berries
Crabbie’s

Directions
Fill shaker with ice, add lemonade, cucumber, and berries. Shake and pour into a glass. Top with Crabbie’s.
