We love whisky, and we’re pretty okay with the Earth, so we’re going to toast the Earth with this whisky cocktail created by Brian Means (of San Fransisco, Ca). If you can’t find a guava, substitute equal parts chopped strawberry and pineapple—just don’t resort to concentrate.
Ingredients
1 ½ parts Basil Haydens’s bourbon
1 guava, cubed
½ part Lime Juice
¼ part Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
¼ part Anise liqueur
Sprigs of mint and wedge of lime (for garnish)
Directions
Add guava to a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add remaining ingredients with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a Collins glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with several mint sprigs and wedge of lime.
