Spring skiing is sweet. Having cash left over for an evening on the town is even sweeter. Here’s how to save your dough on the slopes before spring melts all the goodness away.
Mt. Norquay
Regular lift ticket: $55
The deal: No ride? No sweat. On Saturdays, $60 gets you a lift ticket and round-trip bus transportation (from the Chinook Centre or opposite COP), so you can really dig into the après scene. If, however, time is tight, pay by the hour, starting at $32 for two hours.
Sunshine Village
Regular lift ticket: $80
The deal: Get fresh tracks – and a mini-vacation – by heading out the night before. For a $143 (assuming double occupancy), you’ll get a night at Sunshine Village Lodge – including access to their sweet outdoor hot tub – lift ticket, VIP parking and a $30 food voucher. 1-877-542-2633
Canada Olympic Park
Regular lift ticket: $39
The deal: Nab a voucher for a $22 adult ticket from the Vibe 98.5’s website, or, on Mondays, hit up Country 105’s site for $20 tickets. Turns out commercial radio is good for something.
Lake Louise
Regular lift ticket: $75.95
The deal: If you’re escaping with buddies and no-frill accommodations will do the trick, it’s tough to beat Lake Louise’s deal: A night at the no-frills West Louise Lodge and an adult lift ticket for $99. Weekend warriors can make the most of their Friday nights at the mountain’s weekly torchlight dinner and ski: $49 includes an evening lift ticket, dinner buffet and after-party. 1-888-682-2212
