Incompetence on the Bounty

The night Hurricane Sandy took shape off the East Coast, millions watched on TV as a three-mast sailing ship, a replica built for 1962’s Mutiny on the Bounty, took on water. Though fourteen crew members were rescued, the captain and one of his crew didn’t make it. Presumably everyone everywhere wondered what the hell a ship better suited to a theme park was doing in the middle of the ocean during a hurricane.
