If you own a Bentley (or even if you don’t), what better way to show your passion for the brand than using a set of fountains pens and other writing implements inspired by the British luxury car maker?
Bentley Motors has teamed up with Graf von Faber-Castell on a line of luxury writing instruments and accessories called the “Graf von Faber-Castell for Bentley” collection. According to the pen maker, the products “perfectly combine timeless design, passion for precision and extraordinary craftsmanship.”
The least expensive implement in the collection is $337. The priciest one costs $600. Consumers have access to three ranges of writing instruments and accessories.
Graf von Faber-Castell pays homage to Bentley’s signature diamond pattern through an elaborate diamond pattern in the guilloche style on the slender metal barrel of the writing instruments. Even the colours of the pens are inspired by Bentley hues—sequin blue, tungsten, and white satin.
The pens mimic the chrome-plated elements of a Bentley with their high gloss polish. The pen cases are made of hand-stitched Italian calfskin, matching the car’s interior.
The handcrafted collection features fountain pens, rollerball pens, and ballpoint pens, which are described as “clean and modern” and in “velvety white, clear blue, or metallic grey.” Each pen has a Bentley “B” on the cap and Bentley’s characteristic knurling.
“The experience of writing is captivating from the moment the fountain pen touches paper and smoothly traces the path of the letters,” Graf von Faber-Castell notes on its website. “In this way, it resembles the pleasure of driving a Bentley, as you move with power, purpose and effortless grace on your journey.”
The British carmaker released its first car 99 years ago. What better way to celebrate its upcoming 100th anniversary than with an elegant pen you can use every day? The collection is currently available in Graf von Faber-Castell stores, other stores and specialty shops, in selected Bentley car retailers, and online.
Additional writing instruments and a special, limited edition will be made available in the coming year.
