Fashion’s Night Out Hits Canada

Imagine a party where nine out of ten guests are women — fashionable ladies who are amped to be there (what’s the opposite of a sausage fest?) A place to drink free champagne while a DJ lights a fire under the room.

That’s what you can expect from Fashion’s Night Out, a global celebration of attire started in NYC in 2009 to help kick the recession. Parties are now happening across Canada this Thursday, September 6.

Shopping shindig ain’t your thing? Fair enough. But with fall coming and that promotion on the line, you could probably use some new shoes, maybe a belt, you big slob. And, hey, why not do your bi-annual clothes shopping where you might meet your future wife (or whatever)?

You’re attached? Take the significant other! Think of the points you’ll score for taking your main squeeze shopping.

For something truly homegrown, Roots will mark the inaugural occasion with plenty of music and genuine leather giveaways for which the iconic brand is known at its Eaton Center,Yorkdale and Bloor Street locations in Toronto, and on Robson Street in Vancouver.
