Let’s say you have a few hundred thousand dollars and little-to-no common sense. What are you going to spend that money on? A hovercraft golf cart? A boat car? A floating barbecue donut?
All silly and expensive, but to get truly ridiculous (and even more expensive), we’ve had to leave the confines of floating and hit the sky: introducing the Martin Jetpack.
As far as we can tell, the Martin Jetpack is a couple of snowblowers welded to a . . . metal backpack? Whatever. Anyway, this crazy thing has been in the works for years, but inventor Glenn Martin is hoping for a consumer model for 2015, which, if true, will make 2015 a great year for writers of cautionary tales, insurance carriers, and YouTube videos.
