We’re pretty sure that a “semi-submarine” is functionally a “boat”, but the Ego SE Compact Semi-Submarine ($48,000) is pretty cool nonetheless. It’s basically a pontoon boat with the business end below water. There, in your two-person viewing pod, you can tour the sea floor, and, based on the retailer’s website, impress babes. Granted, there isn’t a lot of coral to look at in Canada, but we’d like to take one up to the Georgian Bay and tour the wrecks. Or finally take a look at that Edmond Fitzgerald that Gordon Lightfoot is always singing about.
