An MIT student put a coloured LED, an accelerometer, IR receivers and a battery into a jelly cube so that it can then alert people when they’ve had “too much” to drink by changing colours from green to yellow to red. The device estimates your intoxication based on how many sips you’ve taken within a certain time.
It will also text your friends when you’ve had “too much” to drink. While this gadget may not reduce alcohol-related mishaps, it sure does sound like the basis of one hell of a drinking game.
