As just a power bar, Pickup Power ($80) doesn’t seem to offer much—only three outlets. Plus surge protection. However, it has something most don’t: a portable battery that pops out. You can leave it charge in the bar when you’re at home, throw it in your briefcase when you’re on the way out the door, and rest assured that you’ll have some extra power all day long. If you get the 4000 mh model, you’ll get enough juice to power a smartphone twice. If you get the 6000 mh model, you can power a smartphone three times—or more than one device, since it has two USB ports.
