Been avoiding all news of Google Glasses, since they’re only just launching? Well, here’s a basic “how-it-works” kind of video to get you started. It’s basically like having a smartphone in your field of vision at all times.
Of course, some people think that Google Glasses will fail because they’re too dorky (and this is coming from Wired), they come with some genuine security concerns, and some people don’t like the idea of everything being recorded.
Then again, companies are interested in augmented reality for training, and sports will get a whole lot more exciting if we get a video perspective of what athletes are doing, although, as we’ve seen, it’s best when the referee gets a camera (and microphone).
