Founded in 2010, Naadam wants nothing less than to change how the cashmere industry works. Tall order? We couldn’t say, since we’re not experts, but they sound pretty unique.
Naadam was founded as a social conscious company. They buy all their cashmere from Mongolian herders, manufacture the garments in-country, and then ship directly to consumers at a wholesale price. They then reinvest 10% of their profits into World Bank’s livestock insurance program.
Their Kickstarter is fully funded (and then some) with twenty-three days left to go, so now’s the time to buy in. Did we mention that they make everything from casual hoodies to sophisticated cardigans?
