Nicole Tarasick makes some cool local products. Mainly, they’re neat pillows decorated with things like airport codes, maps, great lakes, a Canadian goose, and other Canadiana. She also makes some sweet maps and tote bags. Our favourite thing is this YYZ airport pillow ($95), which Tarasick has been making since 2009. So, colour us surprised when we read that HomeSense put out a knock-off version. Do yourself a favour: buy the original. Support original designers.
