Eight Holiday Cocktails To Brighten Your Mood

One of the best things about holiday parties is all the fine food and specialty drinks. If you’re throwing a soiree and want to serve something other than eggnog mulled wine, and Irish coffee, we’ve got you covered.

Dewar’s Apres Ski Cocktail

1 part Dewar’s 12

1 part Martini Bianco

1 part Sparkling Apple Cider (abv 5 percent)

Apple slices and vanilla pod for garnish

Pour Dewar’s, Martini Bianco, and cider over ice in a wine glass. Garnish with apple slices and vanilla pod.

 

White Christmas Margarita

1 14-oz. can of coconut milk

12 oz. silver tequila

8 oz. triple sec

1/2 c. lime juice

2 c. ice

1/2 c. Mint, for garnish

1 lime, sliced into rounds, and cranberries for garnish

Lime wedge and sanding sugar for rimming glass

Blend together coconut milk, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and ice until smooth. Rim glasses with lime wedge and dip in sanding sugar. Pour into glass and garnish with lime and cranberries.

 

Grey Goose Winter Espresso Martini

1.5 oz Grey Goose Vodka

1⁄2 oz coffee liqueur

1.5 oz Espresso

1/2 oz condensed milk

Three coffee beans for garnish

Shake vodka, Espresso and condensed milk in a cocktail shaker and strain into martini glass. Garnish with three coffee beans.

 

Bacardí Coquito

1.5 parts BACARDÍ Cuatro

0.75 parts Canned Coconut Milk

0.75 parts Canned Cream of Coconut

1.5 parts Canned Condensed Milk

2.5 parts Canned Evaporated Milk

1 parts White Sugar

1 bar spoon Ground Cinnamon

2 dashes Vanilla Extract

Combine ingredients in a rocks glass and serve on ice.

 

Cherry Bomb Fizz

1 cherry

1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur

Sparkling wine

Place a cherry into a champagne flute. Add maraschino liqueur and sparkling wine.

 

Spiced Chocolate Stout Beer Cocktail

2 tablespoons brandy

2 tablespoons Spicy Simple Syrup

Ice

Chocolate Stout

Cinnamon stick for garnish

Combine brandy and Spicy Simple Syrup in a pint glass over ice. Top with chocolate stout, and stir. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

 

Winter Bourbon Smash

1/2 cup ice

2 Tbsp preserves or jam of choice

2 Tbsp bourbon

1 Tbsp triple sec

2-3 Tbsp orange juice

Orange segments for garnish

A splash of club soda

Put ice, preserves, bourbon, triple sec and orange juice in a shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Pour into serving glass with ice cubes and top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with orange slices.

 

Bombay Sapphire Winter Mule

1.5 parts rosemary-infused Bombay Sapphire

.5 parts Benedictine

.5 parts lime juice

3 parts Fever tree ginger beer

Rosemary sprig for garnish

In a Collins glass add the rosemary infused Bombay Sapphire, Benedictine, and lime juice. Fill the Collins glass with ice and top with ginger beer. Stir gently to mix and add garnish.

Making the rosemary-infused Bombay Sapphire:

In a large mason jar, add 500ml Bombay Sapphire and six fresh rosemary sprigs. Seal the jar and keep in a dark and cool place for five to six days. Shake the jar once a day if possible. After five to six days, remove the rosemary sprigs and enjoy.
