Let’s be honest: picking the “best film” of the year (or rewarding art in general) is always a bit of a crapshoot, though studios hope perhaps less of a crapshoot after they mounted bunch of $10 million campaigns. For every great film like American Beauty, there’s a regretful one like Shakespeare in Love. Anyway, for better or for worse, here they all are in four minutes.
