Now that it’s been a few weeks since “Thrift Shop” became a smash hit and caused Macklemore and Ryan Lewis to reach the top spot on the Billboard Top 100, the first time an independent act has done so in nearly twenty years, it’s time to see some covers released.
So far, the only one we’re a fan of is this cover by Netherlands-based Broken Bass Ensemble, who are presently working on their own album. Now, will someone explain to us how a New Orleans-style brass band came out of the Netherlands?
