Damn near everything tastes better from a cast iron skillet. They make the best fried eggs, seared steak, and creek fish. We’ll take the good taste of cast iron over the convenience of Teflon any day. Sorry, Roy Pluckett.
It seems like a lot of other people have the same idea, though. Borough Furnace, a foundry based in Syracuse, New York, as been producing a range of nine-inch frying skillets ($280) since a successful 2011 Kickstarter campaign. They released their skillets on June eighteenth, and they sold out in five hours. They’ve kept up that pattern, selling out regularly. They’re updating their stock list on the twenty-ninth, though, so make a point of checking then.
