Mixologist: Midori Spider’s Kiss

This cocktail isn’t especially difficult to make, but the garnish can be a bit tricky. Then again, the chocolate web looks pretty awesome at a Halloween party, so you should do it. The trick is to work well ahead of time. First draw the lines radiating from the centre like spokes in a wheel, then make little curves connecting them. If you’re hosting an especially large or notoriously off-the-hook Halloween party, consider picking up some plastic martini glasses.

Ingredients

1 part Midori melon liqueur
1 part vodka
Splash of fresh lemon juice
A dew dashes of grenadine
Chocolate fudge

Directions

Pipe a chocolate web into a martini glass and place in the refrigerator to chill. Combine Midori melon liqueur, vodka, and lemon juice in a shaker and strain into glass. For a blood effect, gently pour grenadine into glass using a spoon. Garnish with a chocolate dipped orange slice.
