Mixologist: Q Summer Storm

It’s Shark Week, in case you didn’t know (and therefore aren’t sitting at home every night in your Left Shark footie pyjamas, grinning at the TV). And what better way to celebrate than a cocktail? Okay, there are probably dozens of better ways, but we never pass up an excuse for a good cocktail, so here’s a play on a dark and stormy using Q Ginger Beer.

5 oz. chilled Q Ginger Beer
2 oz. dark rum
1 oz. chilled pineapple juice
¼ oz. fresh lime juice
1 pineapple slice (for garnish)


Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add rum and lime juice and shake well. Pour the Q Ginger Beer into an ice-filled highball glass and then top with pineapple juice and then the shaken rum. Garnish with a pineapple slice.
