O Say Can You Whisky

It took awhile, but single malts from the US are selling well against storied Scotches like Balvenie and the Macallan in blind taste tests. Admittedly, any serious drinker should take that news with a huge grain of salt, considering how much trends dominate the US liquor market and the fact that US distillers have to import their peat.

So if you see an American malt at the liquor store, don’t be averse to giving it a try. After all, if another country is good at something, our neighbours to the south are Constitutionally obligated to try and do it better.
