Did you know that bugs are edible? We did, but we prefer to not think about it, since grasshoppers will never replace, say, pork shoulder on our menu.
Of course, that may change once we get our shipment of Edible Bugs ($40) from ThinkGeek. It probably won’t, but this gift pack has seven different flavours that might entice us: bacon and cheese grasshoppers, BBQ bamboo worms, nori seaweed armour tailed scorpions, salted queen weaver ants, sour cream and onion dung beetles, wasabi house crickets, and giant waterbug chilli paste. Sounds tasty, right? Just don’t imagine them getting stuck in your teeth.
