Your mental health is just as important as your physical health; we’ve always said that.
That said, if you’re not prepared to make an appointment without more information—which we can respect as a sensible course of action—head over to mantherapy.org.
Once there, you can take a brief, “eighteen point head inspection” that’ll narrow down where your issues are (if you have any), and provide a bit of feedback. You can also read a bit about the major mental health challenges men face, pick up some interesting facts, hear from men who beat depression, learned to control their anger, learned to manage anxiety, and overcame substance abuse.
After you’ve done all that, you can explore different coping skills (i.e., quiet time, jogging, and fishing), and if you’re interested, pick up some therapy tips.
Know how they say that you can’t take your health for granted? Well, that applies to mental health too.
