Remember when we mentioned new research being done that suggests that grey hair can really be caused by stress? Well, researchers in Europe are working on a treatment that can solve the problem, instead of merely covering it up. In the near future, grey hair might seem like a quaint oddity.
Rather than simply masking grey hair, like previous remedies, this new, proprietary treatment is described as a topical compound activated by sunlight.
Interestingly, the treatment also works on vitiligo, a condition where sections of the skin lose pigmentation. The condition isn’t dangerous, but like anything cosmetic, can have real consequences on suffers.
Somewhat annoyingly, researchers didn’t say when the product will hit the market, but considering that Health Canada would have to approve the treatment, it could take awhile.
