Australia’s Party Elevator

How is it that Toronto gets an elevator worker’s strike, leaving the upper reaches of most condominiums virtually uninhabitable, but Australia gets a sweet party elevator that plays different music depending on how many people are inside?

Elevators at the QT Sydney, a hotel in Australia’s largest city, have done away with muzak and put together something fun. A sensor in the elevator’s ceiling reads how many people are in the elevator, and if there’s only one person, it plays smart-ass music like Eric Carmen’s “All By Myself”. Add another person, and it plays music like “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor. Add even more people, and it starts to play party music.
