Why wait until the summer? Explorer’s Edge, the regional tourism organization for Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Loring-Restoule has launched a program to encourage people to visit now, rather than wait for cottage season.
The deal is this: book before April 19 and stay for two nights between April 20 and May 31, and you get a $50 gas card and $50 in cash vouchers from participating restaurants, attractions, and shops.
According to executive director James Murphy, the program is a great chance for people within the region to explore their own backyard. “It’s an opportunity for someone in Muskoka, for instance, to visit Loring-Restoule or vice versa,” he said.
More to the point, spring is a great time to travel in the region. “Off-peak season rates are still available, there is more choice because it’s not as busy, and there are no bugs.”
However, only 100 packages are left, so check out Explorer’s Edge soon.
