Now that we’ve got our Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express and had a pretty cracking time in Chicago, we want more. Here are three weekend trips we’re looking to make with our SPG Amex Card this year.
The Ski Weekend: Whistler
Never been to Whistler? Book your first trip there at the Westin Resort & Spa where three nights and two ski days starts at only $305, or use points and get a room for 12,000 Starpoints.
You’ll get wicked ski-in ski-out access to miles of trails and runs, with everything from beginner to advanced slopes. If you’re a beginner, no worries. The Westin allows you to rent equipment from the hotel itself. After you’re finished hitting the black diamonds for the day you can relax at the spa with over seventy-five different treatments available to you. Not a fan of skiing? Book in June and bring your clubs. The hotel will arrange a valet and you can be tackling four different courses, including the awesome Jack Nicklaus designed par 71 Nicklaus North.
The Foodie Weekend: Montreal
Ah, let us count the ways we love you Montreal: Joe Beef, Schwartz’s, Au Pied du Cochon and so many more delicious restaurants. There are actually six Starwood hotels in the original Sin City, but we’re partial to Le Centre Sheraton. The hotel is downtown in the shadow of Mont Royal and right near St Denis, home to most of our favourite Montreal restaurants and the city’s legendary nightlife.
Plus, Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel has no shortage of sweet offers right now: pick-up a bonus 1,000 Starpoints when you book a Club Sheraton stay (club access, breakfast, free wifi, and assorted goodies). They also offer a $145 room rate if you show them your ticket to a Habs home game. Hey, gotta do something when you’re not chowing down, right?
The Wild Weekend: Las Vegas
Want to have a forty-eight hour no-holds-barred party with your buddies? Well, good news: Starwood is partnering with Caesars Entertainment. Now, SPG members can get two points for every dollar they spend at a Caesars hotel, earn stays at Caesars properties, and you can bid on Moments experiences happening in Vegas. Penn & Teller, anybody?
