Why did it take so long for someone to figure out how to protect vehicles from hail? Aside from building garages?
Anyway, the Hail Protector Automobile Protection System ($299-$399)—really, we’re calling it that?—is exactly what you’ll need to protect your baby from hail. Basically, an app alerts you to potential hail. You plug your Hail Protector into your cigarette lighter (or use AA batteries), throw it over your car, and let it inflate. Hail bounces right off. Also, it’s water resistant but breathable, protecting your car from moisture damage.
Not sure? Here it is being pummelled with golf ball sized hail. That must be a fun place to work.
