Hong Kong’s Illegal Apartments

Urban Canadians who get their kicks moaning about “shoebox” condos would do well to pay a visit to Hong Kong, where a single square foot of real estate can fetch  over $1,300. These images, produced by the Chinese Human Rights group Society for Community Organization, depict a bird’s eye view of illicit dwellings where square footage often dips into the double digits.
