In the world of men’s dress shirts, which have remained pretty unchanged for decades, Maxwell Blythe is trying something different. Their new line of shirts, which is taking in plenty of money on Kickstarter, has chosen to focus on the often-neglected collar stay.
Each of their collars has a window, in the shape of either a strip or a diamond, in the collar, allowing a coloured collar stay to show through. The effect, especially when one matches the colour of the collar stay with one’s tie, is simple but striking, which is exactly what you’d want out of an accent on conservative menswear.
Hopefully, their next Kickstarter campaign will have them making matched ties and collar stays.
