Conference Calls Are Bullsh*t

Like you didn’t see this coming: no one pays attention during conference calls.

InterCall, a company that does conference calling services, conducted a survey of 500 full-time workers, asking them what they’re up to during calls. The results are illuminating:

  • 65% do other work
  • 63% send emails
  • 55% make or eat food
  • 47% use the bathroom
  • 44% text
  • 43% check social media
  • 25% play video games
  • 21% shop online

We’d be upset, but we’re too busy writing this article, eating pudding, and shooting zombies while we’re on this conference call . . . from the bathroom.
