Mark your calendars: on May 30, Ardbeg celebrates 200 years of making whisky. Legally, anyway.
So, how can you get in on celebrating the peatiest of peaty Islay whiskies? Well, assuming you aren’t making the trek to Islay itself, which will be hosting a massive celebration, you have two options.
Option one: buy a bottle of this year’s committee release, Perpetuum. If you want one right now, you’ll have to make your way to Islay (limit two per lucky traveller). If you can or must wait, you’ll have to hold out for its general release on May 30. And if you’d like to know more about Perpetuum, check this space on May 18 for DailyXY’s tasting notes. Although, if you’re an Ardbeg fan, you’ll probably just go and pick up a bottle no matter what we say.
