Introducing The Burrito Bomber

Welcome to the future, where instead of having to go out for a burrito, you can have a small plane deliver one to you on a whim.

That’s right, the people behind The Burrito Bomber have made the world a better place with their system of speedy burrito delivery. It works like this. You download the Burrito Bomber app on your phone and order a burrito. Your location is uploaded onto the drone’s navigation system and your delicious food is packed on board. Finally, the Burrito Bomber flies to your location, ejects the burrito, and your lunch slowly descends from the heavens via parachute. It’s that simple.

Well, not actually. According to the product’s website, the Burrito Bomber is not technically legal under FAA guidelines in the United States. I, for one, do not want to live in a world where this beautiful creation is grounded by bureaucratic red tape. But there is hope. The Burrito Bomber team says “The FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 requires the FAA to hammer out regulations for commercial use drones by September 2015. This means in 2015 we’ll be able to take to the skies to bring you your burrito faster than you can say “¡Salsa roja por favor!”

Godspeed Gentlemen. Godspeed. Hopefully once it’s legal in the U.S., the Burrito Bomber can make deliveries north of the border.
