Well, now that the socialists have taken Fortress Alberta and the other two parties are shaking in their boots, we thought it might be nice to raise a glass to our new leftie overlords. Granted, the glass we’re raising is a cocktail and not a juice cleanse, but hey, live a little, right?
A note: you can celebrate Alberta’s craft distiller by using Eau Claire’s Three Point vodka, or you can do what Albertans do best: outsource the issue to Newfoundland and use Iceberg.
Ingredients
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. orange juice
.5 oz. maple syrup
2-3 dashes ginger bitters
Orange wedge for garnish
Directions
Combine vodka, juice, syrup, and bitters in an ice-filled Boston shaker. Shake vigorously, until your hands get cold. Strain into a rocks glass with a couple large cubes. Garnish with an orange wedge.
