It isn’t just dangerous playing in the NHL, it’s dangerous covering the sport too. A pass by Marc Staal in last night’s Rangers/Islanders game went awry and hit MSG Network’s Ranger’s sideline reporter John Giannone in the face.
Staal apparently apologized to Giannone, who then politely explained what happened on live TV.
